MISSING YOUNG GIRL

Missing Young Girl

On September 18, 2014, Sarnia Police took a report of a missing young girl by the name of Emma DROPE, born on April 12, 1998. Emma was last seen in the area of Michigan Road and Murphy Road in the City of Sarnia.

Emma is about 5'7″, weighs about 120 pounds with long brown hair down to her shoulders and blonde highlights. She also has a heart tattoo on her right wrist and was last seen wearing a jean jacket with LuLu style black pants that flare out at the bottom. She was not wearing shoes at the time.

There are some health concerns for Emma and thus a request is being made for the public to contact Constable Jocelyn Paquette of the Sarnia Police at 519-344-8861.

Attached is a fairly recent photo of Emma DROPE.

Public’s Assistance Needed for Wanted Party

The Sarnia Police Service and its Criminal Investigation Branch are reaching out to the public for their assistance in this matter. A man by the name of Cody PRICE born December 7, 1989 is currently wanted by our department for thirty six alleged charges ranging from Break and Enter, Mischief, Theft, Stolen Motor Vehicles and Possession of Firearms on an outstanding warrant dating from August 6, 2014.

The Sarnia Police are concerned for public safety at this time, pertaining to Cody PRICE, because of the extensive criminal activity against personal property and the fact that he may still be in possession of stolen firearms.

The public is reminded not to approach Cody PRICE but rather contact the Sarnia Police Service Detective Constable Miro Soucek at 519-344-8861, extension 6191, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or your local law enforcement agency.

Overnight Break and Enters

Date: September 19, 2014

Early this morning, September 19, 2014, at about 2:30 AM, Sarnia Police Service General Patrol Officers responded to an alarm call to a local pharmacy in the 800 block of Exmouth St. in the City of Sarnia. Upon arriving officers noted the front door of the business had been forced open and entry made. The building was searched by officers but no suspects were located.

At approximately 4:00 AM officers responded to another alarm call at a local doctor's office in the 300 block of Exmouth St in the City of Sarnia. In this case, suspects forced open the rear door of the building to gain entry. Upon attending the officers went through the building and again suspects had already fled the area.

Phone Scam Alert

The following is a media release submitted by Bluewater Power and is being re-sent by the Sarnia Police Service to assist in the notification of the public. Appropriate reporting numbers are included in the release. If someone has been victimized and actually made a payment they can call police to report the incident.

SARNIA, Ontario, September 18, 2014 Bluewater Power is warning customers of a telephone scam occurring in our area.

According to reports, customers are receiving phone calls claiming to be from the Bluewater Power “Billing and Collections process”. The calls are being made from a 1-800 phone number and victims are being threatened with having their electricity disconnected if they do not immediately provide payment in the form of a pre-paid debit card or wire transfer. DO NOT provide any personal information including your account number.

Then There Was One

On September 16, 2014 members of the Sarnia Police Service COPPS units attended an address on Tashmoo Ave where a wanted man was located. The accused was a Marshall J. MANESS (December 30, 1973) and was wanted for assault with a weapon. Mr. Maness surrendered without incident to police.

He was part of the first Fugitive Five List of 2014. Jonathan Gil LEITH (May 4, 1976) still has an outstanding warrant for fail to attend for fingerprints and assault and is the last person on the list.
